I'm a 36 year old African American entrepreneur. I started out doing hair at the age of 12 years old and have been in business for 5 years. I graduated from Ogeechee Technical College and earned my Cosmetology license in 2016.
I have served my community before I became a cosmetologist. I started doing hair as a way to provide extra income for my children and it became a full-time job. A lot of my clients had traction alopecia and I wanted to make a difference by treating their hair properly so that it would be healthy and start to grow. I started making my own hair care products for my daughter, as well as myself, and my clients. As their hair started growing, I began to share the results with other clients and via social media, and the demand became greater for my products.
